SINGAPORE: Two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Andre will close its doors permanently on Feb 14 future year.
In a assertion on Tuesday (Oct 10), chef Andre Chiang – the gentleman powering the fine-eating outfit in Tanjong Pagar – explained the go will come soon after a determination to re-prioritise his skilled lifetime.
He has asked for to return his Michelin stars, and to be excluded from the 2018 version of the Michelin Tutorial Singapore.
“I’m a perfectionist and for the previous 30 yrs of my job, I’ve been searching for that unrealistic ‘moment of perfection’: A few Michelin stars, World’s Leading fifty restaurant … Until finally now I realised, at this minute – it is perfect as it is,” Mr Chiang explained in a assertion on the restaurant’s web-site.

Mr Chiang has also labored beneath France’s most respected cooks such as Pascal Barbot, Pierre Gagnaire, Joël Robuchon and Michel Troisgros.

Restaurant Andre, which opened in Oct 2010, delivers only 30 seats each working day.
The restaurant focuses on serving “spontaneous culinary art” impressed by Southern French nouvelle cuisine.
